Southend Academy of Music (SAM)

Location: Earls Hall Primary School (SS0 0QH)

Time: Saturday (term time only) 10:00am to 12:00noon. SAM is for children aged 7+ of all abilities.

SAM, or Southend Academy of Music, is Music on Sea’s largest ensemble and an opportunity for young people to learn a new instrument as part of a big band! At SAM, we have Music on Sea staff who specialise in strings, woodwind, brass, keyboards, guitar, drums and more! You can hire an instrument from Music on Sea’s instrument hire scheme and get playing right away, taking part in group learning sessions with players of all abilities.

The cost is £30 a term, with of up to 50% for applicants who are eligible as detailed in the policy conditions detailed on our website. We also offer support for Looked After Children (LAC) or Post-Looked After Children (PLAC) to access fully subsidised lessons.
