Southend Academy of Music (SAM) - Music on Sea

SAM, or Southend Academy of Music, is Music on Sea’ largest ensemble and an opportunity for young people to learn a new instrument as part of a big band! At SAM, we have Music on Sea staff who specialise in strings, woodwind, brass, keyboards, guitar, drums and more! You can hire an instrument from Music on Sea’s instrument hire scheme and get playing right away, taking part in group learning sessions with players of all abilities. SAM takes place at Earls Hall Primary School, and the dates for the Autumn term 2026-2027 are as below.
